2.  Aliyah Subcommittee Joint  Planning for FSU

Whereas Aliyah and Klitah Committee has reexamined the situation in the periphery of the FSU and believes that the approximately 250,000 Jews in this area are in imminent danger of assimilation and loss to the Jewish people, and their opportunity for aliyah.

Whereas this urgent situation has been accelerated by the decision of the Education Department to refocus its activities away from the periphery to the big cities.

Therefore be it resolved that the Aliyah Department,  the Education Department, and the FSU Office jointly develop a detailed plan to address this urgent need.

Be it further resolved that a work plan be presented promptly for action and implementation.
