Mark S. Anshan's career as a lawyer has focused on corporate and commercial work primarily in energy and high tech.  He currently works for the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto as its General Counsel, overseeing corporate reorganization, strategic planning, governance, legal and public affairs.

He is a long time leader of the Reform Jewish movement.  He currently serves the Reform movement in several roles, including Vice-Chair of the Union for Reform Judaism and Chair of ARZENU.  He served previously as President of ARZA Canada and is a Past President of NFTY (the North American Federation of Temple Youth). He is a life long member of Holy Blossom Temple in Toronto where he served as Financial Secretary and is currently the Chair of the Strategic Planning Steering Committee. 

Mark Anshan is a Member of the JAFI Board of Governors since June 2005.  He previously served as an Assembly Member serving on Board Committees.
