Rabbi Yehiel Wasserman is the Head of the Center for Religious Affairs in the Diaspora in the World Zionist Organization. Rabbi Wasserman fulfilled various educational positions in Israel and abroad within the Jewish Agency and other organizations. Between the years 1993-2003 he served as Deputy Mayor of the city of Givatayim.
Rabbi Wasserman is a graduate of “Yeshivat Hakotel” in Jerusalem and holds a Bachelor degree in Education and Criminology and a Master degree in Education (Educational Administration) from Bar-Ilan University. His publications include educational and guidance booklets in Judaism, articles on education and society published in daily newspapers as well as periodicals and book reviews.
Rabbi Wasserman has been a member of the Jewish Agency Board of Governors since February 2003.
