Addressing Antisemitism in a Liberal World

2. What resources does the Jewish Agency for Israel website offer for combatting Antisemitism?

One of the most important tools for countering Antisemitism is to empower the general public, as well as our law and policy makers, so that they will recognize, acknowledge and address the manifestations of Antisemitism pro-actively. This is done primarily through the work of anti-racist and Jewish organizations, who report and maintain accurate mapping of its geographic distribution, typography and scale, or focus on fighting Antisemitism. One major online resource is the website created for the Israel Government Ministry for Foreign Affairs, namely the Coordination Forum for Countering Antisemitism.

One of the Education Department's major projects in response to masked Antisemitism, is The Myth of Zionism=Racism - After Durban, an expose with extensive analysis and resources, designed to help activists acquire foundation skills, address content, and get organized.

The Hagshama & Students Department, WZO, offers The Wages of Durban, a helpful article drawing a straight line between the WCAR at Durban and the recent Holocaust Denial Conference in Teheran.

We also recommend working through the "Points to Ponder" and concluding chapters of The New Face of Antisemitism for their reflective input, together with their tight focus on the blatantly antisemitic and racist character of these polemics.

Resources related to the Far Right and Antisemitism in Europe & Latin America are also accompanied by discussion activities and analysis [2000-2001].

Our partner organization, the World Union of Jewish Students, also offers a Handbook on Antisemitism for student activists which is suitable for use in the wider community; it is not currently available via the website, but you can request it in pdf format.
