In-Service Training

The In-Service Training Unit has developed unique in-service training initiatives, designed to strengthen the bond of Jewish educational institutions around the world with Israel through an in-service seminars for educators. Each program provides focused encounters with selected educational and cultural institutions in Israel, as well as with Israelis - affording deeper insights into Israel, the Jewish People, and how to engage with Israel in education.

These Israel Seminars offer the advantages of an experiential visit combined with professional encounters - meeting specialists and practitioners, addressing subject matter, engaging with a range of educational programs - and a hands-on approach to the daily challenges of Israeli society. All in-service training programs include: visits to schools; encounters with teachers and school principals; opportunities to develop direct contact with the Israeli education system. Each seminar is tailor-made: schools and communities determine their needs in consultation with Department specialists.

Participant Requirements: Educators at all levels from Jewish schools in the Diaspora (day schools; supplementary schools; elementary or secondary education).

Length of Program:
Seminars take place year round; the length of each seminar is determined by the client.
